Trooper advises on artificial intelligence and uses it in its own day-to-day work. This page explains what we use AI for and what we don't. It also sets out how we protect your information, and when we tell you that AI has been involved.
1. What Trooper uses AI for. Trooper uses AI tools for four kinds of tasks:
- Layout – setting up and visually refining presentations, reports and other material.
- Research – searching, mapping sources and summarising publicly available knowledge.
- Analysis – structuring and spotting patterns in material that is not confidential.
- Text review – proofreading, language, structure and coherence in texts.
In all four cases, AI is a working tool. Professional judgements, recommendations and conclusions are always Trooper's own.
2. What Trooper does not use AI for. Your confidential data never goes into AI tools. Confidential data includes, for example, trade secrets, internal strategies, financial information, contracts, personal data and anything you have marked as confidential. Trooper handles that part of the work without AI.
3. Transparency about content made with AI. Trooper always tells you if AI has been used to generate text that forms part of what you receive. AI-generated images that could be mistaken for real photographs are always disclosed and labelled. Illustrations, icons and graphics that are clearly not photographs are not labelled separately. That way you know what was created by a person, and what could be mistaken for reality.
4. Human responsibility and quality assurance. Everything that has passed through an AI tool is reviewed by Trooper before it is passed on. Facts, sources, quotes and figures are checked against the original source. AI is never named as sender or author. Trooper takes full professional responsibility for everything it delivers.
5. Choice of tools. Trooper only uses professional versions of AI tools. Content that Trooper enters is not used to train the tools' models. You can always ask which tools were used in your project.
6. Legislation and labelling. Trooper complies with the EU AI Act and the data protection rules. Since 2 August 2026, AI-generated images, audio and video that could be mistaken for real people, places or events must be labelled. Trooper labels such content before it is delivered. Trooper also helps clarify who is responsible for the labelling when the content is published.
7. Your choice. If you would prefer that AI is not used at all in your project, just say so when we agree the assignment. Trooper will then do the work without it.
